Renfro Design Group, Inc., established in 1998 in New York City, is an architectural lighting design firm committed to delivering the highest quality of professional services to architects, interior designers, and building owners.

Michael Peace

Ms. Peace has been a Lighting Designer at Renfro Design Group since 2003. Ms. Peace received a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree in 1999 from Pennsylvania State University. Her technical knowledge and creative approach to problem solving has made her an asset to all aspects of the lighting design process.

Ms. Peace's completed projects include the Waipolu Residence and Gallery, 1211 Avenue of the Americas, the Museum of Science and Industry - You! The Experience, the Bloch Building addition to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - Ford Learning Center. Ms. Peace is actively involved in such projects as New York Historical Society, the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, the University of Chicago - Logan Center, and the University of Scranton - New Unified Science Center.

Her work on the Bloch Building addition to the Nelson-Atkins Museum has received many prestigious awards in 2008, which include two Lumen Awards (an outdoor Award of Excellence and an interior Award of Merit) from the New York Chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society, an interior Award of Merit from the IESNA, and an Outstanding Achievement Award from Architectural Lighting Magazine.

Prior to joining Renfro Design Group, Ms. Peace worked for Ann Kale Associates, where she contributed to the exterior lighting of the Essex County Courthouse, Essex, NJ; Trinity University, New Northrup Hall, San Antonio, TX; and Hudson River Park, New York, NY. Prior to Ann Kale Associates, she was a lighting designer at Syska & Hennessy in New York.

Ms. Peace is member of the United States Green Building Council and the Designers Lighting Forum of New York.
